With almost 3 years in the making, AFTERLIFE is proud to present our 5th album, "BRAVE NEW WORLD", to also coincide with our 30th anniversary as a band (AFTERLIFE was formed in January 1986...we just "barely" got the album out before our 30th year ended).

BRAVE NEW WORLD contains 16 brand new original songs in our usual variety of styles, but this particular album does show a heavy psychedelic influence, ranging from progressive to pop.

From the first track, "Doppelganger",  through the last track, "Quicksand", BRAVE NEW WORLD takes you on a magical, mystical voyage through time and space, sound and sight, day and night, dark and light.

Contained within are familiar elements of AFTERLIFE's past, combined with new sounds and new approaches to make this the best and most ambitious AFTERLIFE album to date.

AFTERLIFE has always had a  tradition of doing it all ourselves, but on this new album, we brought in a 3rd party mastering lab (SoundLab @ DiscMakers); as well as an outside graphic designer, Brandi Allen, who handled doing the imagery for the Digipak front and rear covers as well as inside panels and CD surface.  

Our drummer Warren shot the band photo, and our guitarist Mike once again manned the mixing desk for recording engineering and mixing duties.  As always, Jonathan is responsible for most of the local public relations.

Recording for this album began in January 2014 (just before "Snowpocaypse Atlanta").  The weather and a number of other setbacks delayed this album continually.  Basic tracking sessions were scattered out over more than a year.  Overdub sessions took the better part of a year, and the mixing a few months. One of the hardest parts was coming up with a title and a cover concept, but this time we had some outside help.  It took 35 months to complete, but it has finally been released to the free world on 12/12/16.

It is available on CD and as digital download from CD-Baby and Amazon both.  It is also available for download on iTunes and many other websites.  We also sell it directly via Ebay.  The CD is available locally in Carrollton, Ga at The Vinyl Frontier Record Shop, BK2 Music Shop, and Pippin Music Academey.  As time goes along, it will be made available many other places.  You will also be able to stream the album from many of the popular web-streaming sites.

Our previous album COMPASS ROSE is also available on CD and/or digital download at most of the aforementioned locations as well.  We sell our first three albums (THE FROZEN SUN, THE AWAKENING and CURTAIN CALL) on CD only via Ebay and at The Vinyl Frontier Records in Carrollton, Ga.
